Ethics of Archeology in The present Historical Context (An Exercise of Self Ethnography)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article proposes an analysis of the professional practice of one archaeologist in a present context, professionals being in service of the common good in a colonial context of domination. The learning process of the author has been done through the exercise of cultural defences, creating methodologies and a conceptual framework that considers the autonomy of the communities over culture as a complex system in continuous recreation. I believe that the contextual analysis proper to archaeology has been evaded in its most political aspects. As a hypothesis, this would be part of the ethical crisis of this profession, which lies in the relationship between the capitalist system and the objectives of study.
